A short course in recertification ? a review of legislative changes and details the process of advising people in a workplace about relevant Workplace Health & Safety (WH & S) issues. It covers the skills and knowledge needed to set up and monitor Educational Programmes about WH & S as well as using Risk Management processes to review the effectiveness of current Control Measures. The course also covers doing a Workplace Assessment as required under the WH & S Act 1998 |
| Assessment | Any or all units may be granted Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) where appropriate evidence is provided. Workbook activities, examination of theory and practical knowledge and skills will be required |
| Certificate | A Statement of Attainment shall be issued with an assessment report which must be presented to Workplace Health and Safety within sixty (60) days with the prescribed fee to obtain a current Workplace Health and Safety Officer card |
| Vocational Outcome | Continue employment as a Workplace Health and Safety Officer |
